Olympic Siding has been doing new siding installation, repairs, and replacements for home owners as well as home builders in the Vancouver and SW WA and Portland metro area since 1988. During this time we have discovered what products and construction methods work and which ones do not.
We have extensive experience in all types of siding including Nichiha, Hardiplank, and Certainteed fiber cement sidings, as well as vinyl and panel type products. We also offer a full weatherization program using DuPont Tyvek products and window installation for new home construction.
Using information we have gathered over the years we have been on the leading edge of changes to industry standards as well as developing some installation techniques that are rarely used by other siding companies. We have also discovered that the most popular materials are not necessarily the best choice of materials.
After seeing the effect that NW weather can have on homes, we use only DuPont Tyvek housewraps and lashings to protect your home. Only primed cedar is used for exterior trim as it is proven to withstand the elements. Nichiha lap siding, though not as popular as other brands, is our preferred brand of siding.
